Rules and Discipline
  1. An orderly student community is to be the hallmark of our school. For this, an atmosphere of silence should be maintained by everyone during working hours in classroom, staff rooms and office. Thus everyone should contribute his/her mite to maintain an excellence of standard in everything.
  2. The medium of instruction in our school is English and as such in the school campus the students and staff are expected to speak only in English except in language classes. Each one should endeavour to keep high, the refined tone of the school by excelling in good manners and etiquette.
  3. Students may not enter any classroom other than his/her own at any point of time. They are expected to take care of their belongings. They may not bring to school valuables and curious articles, books or magazines etc. not prescribed in the syllabus. They may not wear jewellery. Girls should wear only studs. The school is not responsible for the goods lost.
  4. The handbook is issued to every student at the beginning of the year. It should be kept neat and tidy all through the year. Students are not allowed to write anything except as directed by in the various pages. Loss of the handbook will result in a fine of Rs. 100/-. Once lost, a new one has to be collected from the office after getting the special permission from the Principal. It is an important document of the student’s career, conduct and studies in the school.
  5. Pupils shall attend the class punctually with their lessons well prepared and homework satisfactorily done. Monthly tests and Terminal Exams are obligatory. Any student who absents himself/herself runs the risk of being detained in the same class. Request for re-test will not be entertained.
  6. Every pupil shall respectfully greet the teachers on his/her first meeting in the school premises.
  7. When the teacher enters the classroom, the pupils shall rise and remain standing till they are asked to sit or till the teacher takes his/her seat.
  8. No pupils shall leave his/her class room during working hours without permission of teachers.
  9. It is the personal duty of the students to keep their class rooms absolutely clean.
  10. Pupils should be in full uniform on all working days. Pupils coming to school without full uniform will not be allowed to sit in the class.
  11. Pupils are not supposed to loiter on the verandas during class hours. Whenever they have to move to the library, laboratory, auditorium, Play ground etc. they should do so in an orderly manner, not disturbing the neighbouring classes.
  12. Students should see that no damage is done to school property. They should not write on or disfigure the walls, furniture and library books. Any damage caused through inadvertence or otherwise should be brought to the notice of the Principal. Those who cause damage will be liable to repairing the same at their own expense.
  13. Inattentiveness, indifference to study, discourtesy towards any member of the staff or any act which affects the discipline and tone of the school will be seriously viewed. Immorality, grave insubordination, contempt for authority, wilful damage to school property, malpractice in examinations, etc. are sufficient reasons for immediate dismissal.
  14. Attendance at official school functions like Youth Festival, Children’s Day, Teacher’s Day, Onam, Retreat, Christmas, Sports Day, Annual Day etc is compulsory. Absentees may be penalized.
  15. Pupils are to bear in mind the instructions given through classes and especially through moral science. Regularity, implicit obedience and cleanliness of person are virtue that must be inculcated in children from the very beginning.
  16. Students are strictly prohibited from bringing cell phones, cameras, CD’s, electronic gadgets and two wheelers to the school Campus.
  17. We take all possible care for the safety of the children. In spite of all the diligent care we take, if any accident happens either at the school premises or in the school bus, the school will not be responsible for it.
  18. Letters addressed to children in the school will not be given to them.
  19. No visitors to students are permitted in the school campus.
  20. Pupils joining or leaving the school during the year will have to pay the fees for the whole year.
  21. No school business will be transacted during holidays.
  22. Objectionable behaviour even outside school make them liable to disciplinary action.
  23. Everyone may get acquainted with the rules and regulations of the school given in this handbook besides the timely instructions given by the authorities through public announcements or by notices issued by the Principal.
